Story
History
The Black Bay Fifty-Eight is named after 1958, the year Tudor released its first diver waterproof to 200 metres: the ref. 7924, known as the 'Big Crown'.
Tudor introduced the Black Bay Fifty-Eight at Baselworld 2018 in a 39 mm case, smaller than the original Black Bay, sized to match 1950s Tudor proportions.
The newer Black Bay 58 is thinner than the 2018 model, with two lines of dial text and Master Chronometer certification by METAS.
What it brought to the industry
Tudor presents the Black Bay 58 18K (solid yellow gold) and the 925 (silver case) as firsts for a Tudor diver.
The ref. 7924 of 1958, the namesake of the Fifty-Eight, was Tudor's first diver waterproof to 200 m.
