Thin steel in the quartz years
Tissot answered the quartz crisis with a series of slim watches that paired integrated steel bracelets with newly developed quartz movements. The design traces to the Seastar ref. 40205, a three-hand watch with a flat, barrel-shaped case. A 25 mm version was designed for women the same year.
- 2020s
The small size returns
Tissot has kept widening the collection with new colours and dial textures. It has also brought back the 25 mm model, the size first drawn for women in 1978.
- 2021
The comeback sells out
The PRX 40 205 came back with a 40 mm case only 10.4 mm thick, large flat but flexible bracelet links and blue, black or white dials. Inside sat an ETA F06.115 quartz calibre with about two years of battery life and a seconds hand that skips when the battery runs low. Priced at $375, it sold out soon after its March release and was restocked at the same price.

Smaller, golder, faster
After what Europa Star called a commercial and critical success, Tissot answered buyers who found the launch models too large. Eight new models arrived: 35 mm quartz versions that echo the 1978 proportions, 40 mm automatics with solid 18K rose gold bezels, and a high-end automatic chronograph.

A mechanical heart in 35 mm
Until 2023 the 35 mm PRX came only with quartz. Tissot then fitted it with the Powermatic 80.111, a modified ETA 2824-2 with a Nivachron hairspring, in a 10.93 mm steel case rated to 100 m. Blue, black and green dials cost US$695, mother-of-pearl US$750.
- 2024 to 2025
Collaborations and new materials
In February 2024 Tissot gave the PRX its first official collaboration, a gold PVD Powermatic 80 made with NBA All-Star Damian Lillard. A forged carbon PRX joined the range in 2024. In November 2025 a new 38 mm size arrived in titanium, the first titanium PRX, and in Damascus steel, a material Tissot had never used before.
