John Lennon's watches

Music1 documented fact

John Lennon is documented wearing the Patek Philippe Perpetual Calendar. Each watch below links to its strap size and story.

Yoko Ono gave him an 18-carat yellow gold Ref. 2499 perpetual calendar chronograph for his 40th birthday on 9 October 1980, engraved on the back "(JUST LIKE) STARTING OVER LOVE YOKO". The New Yorker says it appears to have been his only wristwatch. Stolen after his death by Ono's former chauffeur, it resurfaced in 2014 when a collector took it to a Geneva auction house for valuation, and in 2024 Switzerland's Federal Supreme Court confirmed Ono as its owner.
